In Tuesday's non-league outing, the Liberty Magnet Patriots (Baton Rouge, LA) basketball squad edged the visiting McKinley Panthers (Baton Rouge, LA), by a count of 51-46.

The Patriots (4-2) will now prepare for their outing against New Iberia (New Iberia, LA). The Yellowjackets go into the non-league outing with a 6-0 record. In their last outing, New Iberia held off Franklin (Franklin, LA), 69-59, in a non-league match.

With the defeat, McKinley moves to 5-2 on the year. The Panthers travel to Scotlandville (Baton Rouge, LA) to face the Hornets in a non-league match on Friday, December 9. The Hornets enter the match with a record of 4-1. Scotlandville won 60-25 in their recent non-league match against East Ascension (Gonzales, LA)
