Georgia High School Basketball - North Oconee holds off Walnut Grove
December 6, 2022: Walnut Grove, GA 30052 Fans at Tuesday's league challenge between the North Oconee Titans (Bogart, GA) and the host Walnut Grove Warriors (Walnut Grove, GA), saw North Oconee's basketball squad hold off Walnut Grove by a tally of 63-57.
With the victory, North Oconee improves its record to 5-1 on the campaign. The Titans host Seckinger (Buford, GA) to confront the Jaguars in a AAAAAAA Region 8 challenge on Friday, December 9. The Jaguars come into the challenge with a record of 6-2. Seckinger won 57-56 in their recent league challenge against Madison County (Danielsville, GA)
Next up, the Warriors confront the Cedar Shoals Jaguars (Athens, GA) in a AAAA Region 8B challenge, on Friday, December 9. Walnut Grove will attempt to improve on its 2-4 season record. The Jaguars come into the challenge with a 1-5 record after their 70-47 non-league loss to Habersham Central (Mt. Airy, GA).
