Northwest Area Rangers (Shickshinny, PA) backers were in high spirits Wednesday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting MMI Preparatory School (Freeland, PA), 53-11 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Northwest Area upgrades its record to 1-1 on the season. The Rangers host Hughesville (Hughesville, PA) to clash with the Spartans in a non-league bout on Saturday, December 9. The Spartans go into the bout with a record of 0-1. Hughesville lost 37-25 in their recent non-league bout against Central Columbia (Bloomsburg, PA)

Next up, the clash with the Schuylkill Haven Hurricanes (Schuylkill Haven, PA) in a non-league bout, on Monday, December 18. MMI Preparatory School will attempt to upgrade on its 0-2 season record.
