In Friday's non-league test, the Valley Vikings (New Kensington, PA) basketball squad defeated the visiting Apollo Ridge Vikings (Spring Church, PA), by a score of 49-41.

Next, the Vikings clash with the Knoch Knights (Saxonburg, PA) in a WPIAL 4A 1 test, on Friday, December 13. Valley will attempt to improve on its 2-0 season record. The Knights come into the test with a 3-1 record after their 58-49 non-league win over McDowell (Erie, PA).
