Desert Sunrise Golden Hawks (Maricopa, AZ) boosters left the game satisfied Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad nudge the host Poston Butte Broncos (San Tan Valley, AZ), 63-60 in a non-league match.

With the victory, Desert Sunrise upgrades its record to 1-5 on the year. The Golden Hawks host Marcos de Niza (Tempe, AZ) to face the Padres in a non-league match on Wednesday, December 11. The Padres enter the match with a record of 6-1.

The Broncos now sport a 0-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Flagstaff for a non-league battle on Monday, December 9. Poston Butte will meet a Eagles squad coming off a 66-49 non-league loss to ALA - Gilbert North (Gilbert, AZ). The Eagles record now stands at 0-4.
