The Desert Sunrise Golden Hawks (Maricopa, AZ) basketball edged the visiting Tempe Buffaloes (Tempe, AZ), 67-65 in Wednesday's league bout.

The Golden Hawks now possess a 3-15 record. They play next when they travel to Coronado for a 4A Black Canyon bout on Friday, January 24. Desert Sunrise will play a Dons team coming off a 68-32 league loss to Dysart (El Mirage, AZ). The Dons record now stands at 3-11.

With the loss, Tempe falls to 10-10 on the campaign. The Buffaloes host Yuma (Yuma, AZ) to play the Criminals in a 4A Black Canyon bout on Friday, January 24. The Criminals go into the bout with a record of 6-5. Yuma lost 74-64 in their recent league bout against Cortez (Phoenix, AZ)
