North Carolina High School Basketball - Watauga knocks off Avery County

In Friday's non-league contest, the host Watauga Pioneers basketball team scored a good 52-32 win over the Avery County Vikings.

The Pioneers (1-3) will now prepare for their contest against North Wilkes (Hays, NC). The Vikings come into the non-league contest with a 3-0 record. In their last contest, North Wilkes defeated East Surry (Pilot Mountain, NC), 56-13, in a non-league contest.

In their next game, the Vikings battle the Polk County Wolverines (Columbus, NC) in a non-league contest, on Wednesday, December 11. Avery County will attempt to better on its 4-1 season record.
