Portledge Panthers (Locust Valley, NY) backers were in high spirits Wednesday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the host Luther Cougars (Maspeth, NY), 107-44 in a league bout.

With the win, Portledge upgrades its record to 1-0 on the season. The Panthers host Kew Forest (Forest Hills, NY) to clash with the Jaguars in a non-league bout on Wednesday, January 4. The Jaguars go into the bout with a record of 0-1.

Next up, the Cougars clash with the Woodmere Academy (Woodmere, NY) in a PSAL Area NYSAIS PSAA - Eastern bout, on Friday, December 9. Luther will attempt to upgrade on its 0-3 season record.
