In Thursday's league outing, the Douglas County West Falcon (Valley, NE) basketball squad edged the host Fort Calhoun Pioneers (Fort Calhoun, NE), by a count of 70-67.

The Falcon (2-0) will now prepare for their outing against Concordia (Omaha, NE). The Mustangs go into the C1 District 4 outing with a 1-1 record. In their last outing, Concordia was tipped by Roncalli Catholic (Omaha, NE), 49-46, in a league outing.

The Pioneers now hold a 2-1 record. They play next when they travel to Yutan for a non-league outing on Tuesday, December 12. Fort Calhoun will clash with a Chieftains squad coming off a 54-20 non-league win over Logan View/Scribner-Snyder (Hooper, NE). The Chieftains record now stands at 3-1.
