December 7, 2023: Oxford, NC 27565 The Oxford Prep Griffins basketball team (Oxford, NC), was overwhelmed 58-30 in Thursday's non-league battle with the visiting Franklin Academy Patriots (Wake Forest, NC)
The Patriots now possess a 8-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to North Raleigh Christian Academy for a non-league battle on Tuesday, December 12. Franklin Academy will confront a Knights team coming off a 39-33 non-league win over John Paul II Catholic (Greenville, NC). The Knights record now stands at 4-0.
The Griffins (1-8) will now prepare for their battle against East Wake Academy (Zebulon, NC). The Eagles come into the non-league battle with a 7-0 record. In their last battle, East Wake Academy trounced Neuse Charter (Smithfield, NC), 61-29, in a non-league battle.
