In Saturday's non-league contest, the visiting Cypress Creek Cougars basketball team scored a close 55-52 triumph over the North Shore Mustangs.

The Cougars (8-9) will now prepare for their contest against Lake Creek (Montgomery, TX). The Lions go into the non-league contest with a 5-9 record. In their last contest, Lake Creek nipped Waller (Waller, TX), 70-44, in a non-league contest.
