North Carolina High School Basketball - Southern Lee tops Jordan-Matthews
December 8, 2022: Siler City, NC 27344 Southern Lee Cavaliers (Sanford, NC) backers were pleased Thursday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the host Jordan-Matthews Jets (Siler City, NC), 51-40 in a non-league bout.
With the victory, Southern Lee upgrades its record to 5-2 on the campaign. The Cavaliers host Richmond (Rockingham, NC) to play the Raiders in a 3A/4A Conference 24 bout on Tuesday, December 13. The Raiders come into the bout with a record of 6-1. Richmond won 82-64 in their recent non-league bout against Uwharrie Charter (Asheboro, NC)
Next up, the Jets play the Union Pines Vikings (Cameron, NC) in a non-league bout, on Monday, December 12. Jordan-Matthews will attempt to upgrade on its 0-5 season record. The Vikings come into the bout with a 2-1 record after their 52-44 non-league win over Harnett Central (Angier, NC).
