February 8, 2023: Sanford, NC 27330 In Wednesday's non-league outing, the Lee County Yellow Jackets (Sanford, NC) basketball squad felled the visiting Jordan-Matthews Jets (Siler City, NC), by a margin of 71-60.
The Yellow Jackets (9-13) will now prepare for their outing against Southern Lee (Sanford, NC). The Cavaliers go into the 3A/4A Conference 24 outing with a 9-14 record. In their last outing, Southern Lee thwarted Union Pines (Cameron, NC), 52-30, in a league outing.
The Jets now own a 1-19 record. They play next when they travel to Bartlett Yancey for a 1A/2A Conference 14 outing on Friday, February 10. Jordan-Matthews will encounter a Buccaneers squad coming off a 54-37 non-league win over Eno River (Hillsborough, NC). The Buccaneers record now stands at 7-14.
