In Thursday's non-league outing, the Matanzas Pirates (Palm Coast, FL) basketball squad beat the visiting Menendez Falcons (St. Augustine, FL), by a margin of 64-56.

The Pirates (4-3) will now prepare for their bout against First Coast (Jacksonville, FL). The Buccaneers come into the non-league bout with a 1-3 record. In their last bout, First Coast was knocked off by Wolfson (Jacksonville, FL), 62-55, in a non-league bout.

Next up, the Falcons play the North Marion Colts (Citra, FL) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, December 10. Menendez will attempt to upgrade on its 1-4 season record. The Colts come into the bout with a 0-1 record after their 55-54 non-league loss to Wildwood (Wildwood, FL).
