The Barbe Buccaneers basketball team scored 54 points and restricted the host Natchitoches Central Chiefs to 48 in the Buccaneers non-league victory on Thursday.

The Buccaneers now sport a 10-1 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Lake Charles College Prep for a non-league contest on Monday, December 12. Barbe will battle a team coming off a 58-20 non-league win over Eunice (Eunice, LA). The record now stands at 3-2.

The Chiefs (3-3) will now prepare for their contest against Parkway (Bossier City, LA). The Panthers come into the 5A District 1 contest with a 4-4 record. In their last contest, Parkway edged Northwood (Lena, LA), 68-49, in a non-league contest.
