Louisiana High School Basketball - Natchitoches Central overwhelms Haughton
January 31, 2023: Haughton, LA 71037 Fans at Tuesday's league challenge between the Natchitoches Central Chiefs (Natchitoches, LA) and the host Haughton Buccaneers (Haughton, LA), saw Natchitoches Central's basketball squad wallop Haughton by a tally of 59-36.
With the victory, Natchitoches Central improves its record to 13-7 on the campaign. The Chiefs travel to Byrd (Shreveport, LA) to play the Yellow Jackets in a 5A District 1 challenge on Friday, February 3. The Yellow Jackets come into the challenge with a record of 11-9. Byrd lost 55-22 in their recent league challenge against Parkway (Bossier City, LA)
Next up, the Buccaneers play the Southwood Cowboys (Shreveport, LA) in a 5A District 1 challenge, on Friday, February 3. Haughton will attempt to improve on its 18-7 season record. The Cowboys come into the challenge with a 13-11 record after their 60-28 league loss to Benton (Benton, LA).
