Missouri High School Basketball - Montrose tops Appleton City
December 8, 2023: Appleton City, MO 64724 Fans at Friday's non-league challenge between the Montrose Blue Jays (Montrose, MO) and the host Appleton City Bulldogs (Appleton City, MO), saw Montrose's basketball squad knock off Appleton City by a count of 52-38.
With the victory, Montrose upgrades its record to 2-3 on the campaign. The Blue Jays travel to Northeast Vernon County (Walker, MO) to play the Knights in a Golden Valley Vernon challenge on Tuesday, December 12. The Knights come into the challenge with a record of 2-3.
Next up, the Bulldogs play the Archie Whirlwinds (Archie, MO) in a Western Missouri challenge, on Monday, December 11. Appleton City will attempt to upgrade on its 0-4 season record. The Whirlwinds come into the challenge with a 0-2 record after their 59-55 non-league loss to Butler (Butler, MO).
