Nebraska High School Basketball - Lincoln Southwest fells Grand Island

Lincoln Southwest Silver Hawks (Lincoln, NE) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Grand Island Islanders (Grand Island, NE), 70-53 in a league bout.

With the win, Lincoln Southwest upgrades its record to 2-1 on the season. The Silver Hawks travel to Millard South (Omaha, NE) to play the Patriots in a non-league bout on Saturday, December 9. The Patriots go into the bout with a record of 1-2. Millard South lost 59-55 in their recent league bout against Omaha Central (Omaha, NE)

Next up, the Islanders play the Papillion-LaVista Monarchs (Papillion, NE) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, December 9. Grand Island will attempt to upgrade on its 1-2 season record. The Monarchs go into the bout with a 1-2 record after their 57-53 league loss to Elkhorn South (Omaha, NE).
