December 2, 2023: Grand Island, NE 68803 Fans at Saturday's non-league challenge between the Grand Island Islanders (Grand Island, NE) and the visiting Columbus Discoverers (Columbus, NE), saw Grand Island's basketball squad overcome Columbus by a tally of 54-39.
With the victory, Grand Island improves its record to 1-1 on the campaign. The Islanders travel to Lincoln Southwest (Lincoln, NE) to confront the Silver Hawks in a A District TBD challenge on Friday, December 8. The Silver Hawks come into the challenge with a record of 1-1. Lincoln Southwest lost 71-56 in their recent non-league challenge against Omaha Westside (Omaha, NE)
Next up, the Discoverers confront the Bellevue East Chieftains (Bellevue, NE) in a A District TBD challenge, on Thursday, December 7. Columbus will attempt to improve on its 0-2 season record. The Chieftains come into the challenge with a 0-2 record after their 73-27 non-league loss to Lincoln Southeast (Lincoln, NE).
