Kentucky High School Basketball - Monroe County can't hold off Cumberland County
December 8, 2023: Tompkinsville, KY 42167 The Cumberland County Panthers basketball team scored 49 points and held the host Monroe County Falcons to 42 in the Panthers league triumph on Friday.
The Panthers now sport a 3-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Clinton County for a District 16 contest on Tuesday, December 12. Cumberland County will battle a Bulldogs team coming off a 60-57 non-league loss to Logan County (Russellville, KY). The Bulldogs record now stands at 1-4.
The Falcons (0-4) will now prepare for their contest against Todd County Central (Elkton, KY). The Rebels enter the non-league contest with a 2-1 record. In their last contest, Todd County Central was nudged by Creek Wood (Charlotte, TN), 54-42, in a non-league contest.
