The Cortez Colts (Phoenix, AZ) basketball crushed the visiting Independence Patriots (Glendale, AZ), 71-36 in Thursday's non-league test.

The Colts (4-4) will now prepare for their test against Washington (Phoenix, AZ). The Rams go into the non-league test with a 0-5 record. In their last test, Washington was trounced by Arcadia (Phoenix, AZ), 66-49, in a non-league test.

The Patriots now own a 1-7 record. They put it on the line next when they host Thunderbird for a non-league contest on Friday, December 10. Independence will meet a Titans team coming off a 60-48 non-league loss to American Leadership Academy (Queen Creek, AZ). The Titans record now stands at 2-5.
