Texas High School Basketball - Lubbock tops Denver City
December 9, 2021: Denver City, TX 79323 Lubbock Westerners (Lubbock, TX) backers were pleased Thursday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the host Denver City Mustangs (Denver City, TX), 51-37 in a non-league bout.
With the victory, Lubbock upgrades its record to 7-4 on the campaign. The Westerners travel to Shallowater (Shallowater, TX) to play the Mustangs in a non-league bout on Friday, December 10. The Mustangs come into the bout with a record of 3-1. Shallowater won 65-42 in their recent non-league bout against Midland Classical Academy (Midland, TX)
Next up, the Mustangs play the Wink Wildcats (Wink, TX) in a non-league bout, on Friday, December 10. Denver City will attempt to upgrade on its 3-4 season record. The Wildcats come into the bout with a 2-2 record after their 50-30 non-league loss to Andrews (Andrews, TX).
