Fans at Friday's league challenge between the Southwestern Randolph Cougars (Asheboro, NC) and the host Trinity Bulldogs (Trinity, NC), saw Southwestern Randolph's basketball squad hold off Trinity by a count of 50-47.

With the victory, Southwestern Randolph upgrades its record to 3-4 on the campaign. The Cougars host Providence Grove (Franklinville, NC) to play the Patriots in a 1A/2A Conference 31 challenge on Tuesday, December 13. The Patriots come into the challenge with a record of 1-6. Providence Grove lost 46-43 in their recent league challenge against Uwharrie Charter (Asheboro, NC)

Next up, the Bulldogs play the Wheatmore Warriors (Trinity, NC) in a 1A/2A Conference 31 challenge, on Tuesday, December 13. Trinity will attempt to upgrade on its 7-2 season record. The Warriors come into the challenge with a 3-3 record after their 50-39 league loss to Randleman (Randleman, NC).
