Lovejoy Leopards (Lucas, TX) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Forney Jackrabbits (Forney, TX), 55-38 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Lovejoy upgrades its record to 5-7 on the season. The Leopards travel to Allen (Allen, TX) to play the Eagles in a non-league bout on Friday, December 15. The Eagles go into the bout with a record of 13-3. Allen won 56-48 in their recent non-league bout against Newman Smith (Carrollton, TX)

Next up, the Jackrabbits play the Lone Star Rangers (Frisco, TX) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, December 12. Forney will attempt to upgrade on its 0-11 season record. The Rangers go into the bout with a 9-3 record after their 54-44 non-league win over Denton (Denton, TX).
