December 9, 2023: St. Ansgar, IA 50472 The St. Ansgar Saints basketball team (St. Ansgar, IA), was overwhelmed 67-34 in Saturday's non-league battle with the visiting Lake Mills Bulldogs (Lake Mills, IA)
The Bulldogs now possess a 4-0 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Central Springs for a non-league battle on Monday, December 11. Lake Mills will battle a Panthers team coming off a 64-41 non-league win over North Butler (Greene, IA). The Panthers record now stands at 2-2.
The Saints (2-3) will now prepare for their battle against Nashua-Plainfield (Nashua, IA). The Huskies come into the Corn Bowl battle with a 1-2 record. In their last battle, Nashua-Plainfield was overwhelmed by Newman Catholic (Mason City, IA), 69-43, in a non-league battle.
