Colorado High School Basketball - Basalt holds off Aspen
December 9, 2023: Aspen, CO 81611 Fans at Saturday's non-league challenge between the Basalt Longhorns (Basalt, CO) and the host Aspen Skiers (Aspen, CO), saw Basalt's basketball squad hold off Aspen by a tally of 30-25.
With the victory, Basalt improves its record to 1-3 on the campaign. The Longhorns travel to Roaring Fork (Carbondale, CO) to confront the Rams in a non-league challenge on Wednesday, December 13. The Rams come into the challenge with a record of 2-0. Roaring Fork won 40-20 in their recent non-league challenge against Steamboat Springs (Steamboat Springs, CO)
Next up, the Skiers confront the Meeker Cowboys (Meeker, CO) in a 3A Western Slope challenge, on Friday, December 15. Aspen will attempt to improve on its 1-3 season record. The Cowboys come into the challenge with a 2-1 record after their 42-38 non-league loss to Mancos (Mancos, CO).
