In Monday's non-league contest, the host Central Warriors basketball team scored a good 71-61 triumph over the Starmont Stars.

The Warriors (1-1) will now prepare for their contest against Turkey Valley (Jackson Junction, IA). The Trojans go into the Upper Iowa contest with a 0-3 record. In their last contest, Turkey Valley was topped by New Hampton (New Hampton, IA), 64-50, in a non-league contest.

In their next game, the Stars battle the Maquoketa Valley Wildcats (Delhi, IA) in a Tri-Rivers contest, on Tuesday, December 10. Starmont will attempt to better on its 2-1 season record.
