Iowa High School Basketball - Starmont overwhelms Clayton-Ridge
January 13, 2025: Arlington, IA 50606 The Starmont Stars basketball team scored 63 points and limited the visiting Clayton-Ridge Eagles to 42 in the Stars non-league triumph on Monday.
The Stars now possess a 5-7 record. They play next when they travel to Calamus-Wheatland for a Tri-Rivers game on Tuesday, January 14. Starmont will play a Warriors team coming off a 55-43 league loss to Alburnett (Alburnett, IA). The Warriors record now stands at 4-7.
With the loss, Clayton-Ridge falls to 2-10 on the campaign. The Eagles host West Central (Maynard, IA) to play the Blue Devils in a Upper Iowa game on Tuesday, January 14. The Blue Devils go into the game with a record of 1-9. West Central lost 73-31 in their recent non-league game against Oelwein (Oelwein, IA)
