In Tuesday's non-league contest, the visiting St. Joseph Academy Bloodhounds basketball team scored a good 44-32 triumph over the Port Isabel Tarpons.

The Bloodhounds (6-9) will now prepare for their contest against South Texas Christian Academy (McAllen, TX). The Panthers go into the non-league contest with a 4-0 record. In their last contest, South Texas Christian Academy topped First Baptist (Brownsville, TX), 77-34, in a league contest.

Next up, the Tarpons face the Edinburg North Cougars (Edinburg, TX) in a non-league match, on Thursday, December 11. Port Isabel will attempt to upgrade on its 4-6 season record. The Cougars enter the match with a 11-6 record after their 53-50 non-league win over McAllen Memorial (McAllen, TX).
