Texas High School Basketball - New Caney knocked off by Cypress Lakes
December 1, 2022: Katy, TX 77449 The Cypress Lakes Spartans basketball team scored 51 points and held the visiting New Caney Eagles to 35 in the Spartans non-league triumph on Thursday.
The Spartans now sport a 4-1 record. They put it on the line next when they host Angleton for a non-league contest on Tuesday, December 6. Cypress Lakes will battle a Wildcats team coming off a 60-58 non-league loss to Goose Creek Memorial (Baytown, TX). The Wildcats record now stands at 11-4.
The Eagles (3-9) will now prepare for their contest against Seven Lakes (Katy, TX). The Spartans enter the non-league contest with a 8-4 record. In their last contest, Seven Lakes was defeated by Fort Bend Marshall (Missouri City, TX), 72-68, in a non-league contest.
