December 1, 2022: Ellicott City, MD 21042 Fans at Thursday's non-league challenge between the Sidwell Friends Quakers (Washington, DC) and the host Glenelg Country Dragons (Ellicott City, MD), saw Sidwell Friends's basketball squad wallop Glenelg Country by a tally of 77-56.
With the victory, Sidwell Friends improves its record to 1-0 on the campaign. The Quakers travel to Landon (Bethesda, MD) to confront the Bears in a non-league challenge on Friday, December 2. The Bears come into the challenge with a record of 1-0. Landon won 88-57 in their recent non-league challenge against Sandy Spring Friends (Sandy Spring, MD)
Next up, the Dragons confront the Our Lady of Mount Carmel Cougars (Baltimore, MD) in a MIAA A - Red challenge, on Monday, December 5. Glenelg Country will attempt to improve on its 0-1 season record. The Cougars come into the challenge with a 2-0 record after their 89-68 non-league win over John Carroll (Bel Air, MD).
