In Thursday's league outing, the Jackson Day Mariners (Charlotte, NC) basketball squad edged the visiting Providence Classical (Rock Hill, SC), by a count of 52-46.

The Mariners (4-3) will now prepare for their outing against Carolina Christian (Locust, NC). The Lions go into the Metro Area outing with a 3-3 record. In their last outing, Carolina Christian was tipped by Walnut Grove Christian (Fort Mill, SC), 81-55, in a league outing.
