The Southern Wake Academy Lions basketball team scored 39 points and restricted the visiting Wake Prep Academy Guardians to 37 in the Lions non-league victory on Thursday.

The Lions now sport a 1-4 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to North Moore for a non-league contest on Tuesday, December 6.

The Guardians (1-7) will now prepare for their contest against American Leadership Academy-Johnston (Clayton, NC). The Patriots come into the non-league contest with a 0-3 record. In their last contest, American Leadership Academy-Johnston was nudged by St. Thomas More Academy (Raleigh, NC), 33-17, in a non-league contest.
