New Berlin/Franklin/Waverly Vipers (New Berlin, IL) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting Tri-City/Sangamon Valley Storm (Niantic, IL), 54-25 in a league bout.

With the win, New Berlin/Franklin/Waverly upgrades its record to 6-1 on the season. The Vipers travel to South Fork (Kincaid, IL) to play the Ponies in a non-league bout on Monday, December 5. The Ponies go into the bout with a record of 5-3. South Fork won 39-26 in their recent non-league bout against Lincolnwood (Raymond, IL)

Next up, the Storm play the Pawnee Indians (Pawnee, IL) in a MSM bout, on Saturday, December 3. Tri-City/Sangamon Valley will attempt to upgrade on its 2-4 season record. The Indians go into the bout with a 1-5 record after their 54-23 non-league loss to PORTA/Ashland-Chandlerville Central (Petersburg, IL).
