Illinois High School Basketball - North Mac tops Tri-City/Sangamon Valley
December 19, 2022: Niantic, IL 62551 North Mac Panthers (Virden, IL) backers were pleased Monday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the host Tri-City/Sangamon Valley Storm (Niantic, IL), 70-54 in a non-league bout.
With the victory, North Mac upgrades its record to 7-5 on the campaign. The Panthers travel to PORTA/Ashland-Chandlerville Central (Petersburg, IL) to play the Bluejays in a non-league bout on Tuesday, December 27. The Bluejays come into the bout with a record of 10-0. PORTA/Ashland-Chandlerville Central won 59-21 in their recent non-league bout against Litchfield (Litchfield, IL)
Next up, the Storm play the Deer Creek-Mackinaw Chiefs (Mackinaw, IL) in a non-league bout, on Monday, December 26. Tri-City/Sangamon Valley will attempt to upgrade on its 5-7 season record. The Chiefs come into the bout with a 13-2 record after their 62-21 non-league win over Decatur Lutheran (Decatur, IL).
