McCormick Chiefs (McCormick, SC) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Saluda Tigers (Saluda, SC), 60-42 in a non-league bout.

With the win, McCormick upgrades its record to 3-1 on the season. The Chiefs travel to Emerald (Greenwood, SC) to clash with the Vikings in a non-league bout on Monday, December 4. The Vikings go into the bout with a record of 1-1. Emerald won 49-45 in their recent non-league bout against Crescent (Iva, SC)

Next up, the Tigers clash with the Strom Thurmond Rebels (Johnston, SC) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, December 5. Saluda will attempt to upgrade on its 0-3 season record. The Rebels go into the bout with a 4-1 record after their 51-40 non-league win over South Aiken (Aiken, SC).
