Louisiana High School Basketball - Church Point nips St. Thomas More
December 1, 2023: Church Point, LA 70525 Fans at Friday's non-league challenge between the Church Point Bears (Church Point, LA) and the visiting St. Thomas More Cougars (Lafayette, LA), saw Church Point's basketball squad hold off St. Thomas More by a count of 45-40.
With the victory, Church Point upgrades its record to 5-1 on the campaign. The Bears travel to Lafayette Christian Academy (Lafayette, LA) to play the Knights in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, December 5. The Knights come into the challenge with a record of 7-0. Lafayette Christian Academy won 99-68 in their recent non-league challenge against Fairview (Grant, LA)
Next up, the Cougars play the New Iberia Yellowjackets (New Iberia, LA) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, December 5. St. Thomas More will attempt to upgrade on its 5-2 season record. The Yellowjackets come into the challenge with a 5-3 record after their 43-34 non-league win over West St. Mary (Baldwin, LA).
