December 5, 2023: New Iberia, LA 70560 Fans at Tuesday's non-league challenge between the St. Thomas More Cougars (Lafayette, LA) and the host New Iberia Yellowjackets (New Iberia, LA), saw St. Thomas More's basketball squad wallop New Iberia by a count of 40-19.
With the victory, St. Thomas More upgrades its record to 6-2 on the campaign. The Cougars host Carencro (Lafayette, LA) to play the Bears in a non-league challenge on Thursday, December 7. The Bears come into the challenge with a record of 8-2. Carencro won 64-24 in their recent non-league challenge against Northwest (Opelousas, LA)
Next up, the Yellowjackets play the Edna Karr Cougars (New Orleans, LA) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, December 8. New Iberia will attempt to upgrade on its 5-4 season record. The Cougars come into the challenge with a 7-3 record after their 53-39 non-league win over A.J. Ellender (Houma, LA).
