The Valley Patriots (Turkey, TX) basketball felled the host Merkel Badgers (Merkel, TX), 46-29 in Friday's non-league test.

The Patriots (9-2) will now prepare for their test against Westbrook (Westbrook, TX). The Wildcats go into the non-league test with a 8-3 record.

The Badgers now own a 5-2 record. They play next when they host Abilene for a non-league test on Tuesday, December 5. Merkel will encounter a Eagles squad coming off a 57-53 non-league win over Snyder (Snyder, TX). The Eagles record now stands at 8-6.
