Fans at Friday's non-league challenge between the Mitchell Mustangs (New Port Richey, FL) and the host Tarpon Springs Spongers (Tarpon Springs, FL), saw Mitchell's basketball squad wallop Tarpon Springs by a tally of 78-23.

With the victory, Mitchell improves its record to 2-1 on the campaign. The Mustangs host Fivay (Hudson, FL) to confront the Falcons in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, December 5. The Falcons come into the challenge with a record of 2-0. Fivay won 41-34 in their recent non-league challenge against Berkeley Prep (Tampa, FL)

Next up, the Spongers confront the East Lake Eagles (Tarpon Springs, FL) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, December 5. Tarpon Springs will attempt to improve on its 0-2 season record. The Eagles come into the challenge with a 4-1 record after their 36-26 non-league win over Seminole (Seminole, FL).
