December 1, 2023: New Town, ND 58763 Fans at Friday's non-league challenge between the New Town Eagles (New Town, ND) and the visiting Standing Rock Warriors (Fort Yates, ND), witnessed New Town's basketball squad beat Standing Rock by a margin of 46-29.
The Eagles (1-1) will now prepare for their test against Stanley (Stanley, ND). The Blue Jays go into the A Region 3 test with a 0-3 record. In their last test, Stanley was beaten by Wahpeton (Wahpeton, ND), 44-22, in a non-league test.
The Warriors now own a 0-1 record. They play next when they travel to Turtle Mountain for a non-league test on Saturday, December 2. Standing Rock will encounter a Braves squad coming off a 56-30 non-league win over Hazen (Hazen, ND). The Braves record now stands at 1-0.
