Smoky Mountain Mustangs (Sylva, NC) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Erwin Warriors (Asheville, NC), 38-27 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Smoky Mountain upgrades its record to 4-0 on the season. The Mustangs travel to North Buncombe (Weaverville, NC) to play the Black Hawks in a non-league bout on Tuesday, December 5. The Black Hawks go into the bout with a record of 0-2.

Next up, the Warriors play the Avery County Vikings (Newland, NC) in a non-league bout, on Friday, December 8. Erwin will attempt to upgrade on its 0-3 season record.
