North Carolina High School Basketball - Erwin nips Smoky Mountain

December 1, 2023: Asheville, NC 28806

Fans at Friday's non-league challenge between the Erwin Warriors (Asheville, NC) and the visiting Smoky Mountain Mustangs (Sylva, NC), saw Erwin's basketball squad hold off Smoky Mountain by a tally of 53-48.

With the victory, Erwin improves its record to 4-0 on the campaign. The Warriors travel to Avery County (Newland, NC) to play the Vikings in a non-league challenge on Friday, December 8. The Vikings come into the challenge with a record of 2-2.

Next up, the Mustangs play the North Buncombe Black Hawks (Weaverville, NC) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, December 5. Smoky Mountain will attempt to improve on its 3-1 season record.
