Fans at Friday's non-league challenge between the Steele Canyon Cougars (Spring Valley, CA) and the host Mar Vista Mariners (Imperial Beach, CA), saw Steele Canyon's basketball squad wallop Mar Vista by a count of 69-37.

With the victory, Steele Canyon upgrades its record to 5-4 on the campaign. The Cougars travel to Christian (El Cajon, CA) to play the Patriots in a non-league challenge on Wednesday, December 15. The Patriots come into the challenge with a record of 1-4. Christian lost 58-54 in their recent non-league challenge against Sage Creek (Carlsbad, CA)
