The Page Pirates basketball team scored 47 points and held the visiting Southwest Guilford Cowboys to 40 in the Pirates league triumph on Friday.

The Pirates now sport a 1-3 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Rabun Gap-Nacoochee for a non-league contest on Saturday, December 11. Page will meet a Eagles team coming off a 73-32 non-league win over Hart County (Hartwell, GA). The Eagles record now stands at 5-4.

The Cowboys (2-2) will now prepare for their contest against Western Guilford (Greensboro, NC). The Hornets enter the 4A Conference 55 contest with a 1-4 record. In their last contest, Western Guilford was nudged by Northwest Guilford (Greensboro, NC), 74-47, in a league contest.
