Georgia High School Basketball - Memorial Day nips Bryan County
December 10, 2022: Pembroke, GA 31321 Memorial Day Matadors (Savannah, GA) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Bryan County Redskins (Pembroke, GA), 65-60 in a non-league bout.
With the win, Memorial Day upgrades its record to 4-0 on the season. The Matadors travel to John Paul II (Ridgeland, SC) to play the Golden Warrriors in a non-league bout on Monday, December 12. The Golden Warrriors go into the bout with a record of 1-6.
Next up, the Redskins play the Claxton Tigers (Claxton, GA) in a A D1 Region 3 bout, on Tuesday, December 13. Bryan County will attempt to upgrade on its 1-7 season record. The Tigers go into the bout with a 2-7 record after their 68-39 non-league loss to Portal (Portal, GA).
