Maine High School Basketball - Orono tops Maine Central Institute
December 10, 2022: Pittsfield, ME 04967 Fans at Saturday's league challenge between the Orono Riots (Orono, ME) and the host Maine Central Institute Huskies (Pittsfield, ME), saw Orono's basketball squad knock off Maine Central Institute by a tally of 74-57.
With the victory, Orono improves its record to 1-0 on the campaign. The Riots host Hermon (Hermon, ME) to play the Hawks in a B North challenge on Wednesday, December 14. The Hawks come into the challenge with a record of 1-0. Hermon won 56-47 in their recent league challenge against Waterville (Waterville, ME)
Next up, the Huskies play the Winslow Black Raiders (Winslow, ME) in a B North challenge, on Tuesday, December 13. Maine Central Institute will attempt to improve on its 0-1 season record. The Black Raiders come into the challenge with a 1-0 record after their 64-55 league win over Presque Isle (Presque Isle, ME).
