Illinois High School Basketball - Massac County tops Marion

December 10, 2022: Metropolis, IL 62960

Massac County Patriots (Metropolis, IL) backers were pleased Saturday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the visiting Marion Wildcats (Marion, IL), 65-46 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Massac County upgrades its record to 7-1 on the campaign. The Patriots travel to Harrisburg (Harrisburg, IL) to play the Bulldogs in a Southern Illinois River-to-River - Ohio bout on Friday, December 16. The Bulldogs come into the bout with a record of 3-3.

Next up, the Wildcats play the Centralia Orphans (Centralia, IL) in a South Seven bout, on Friday, December 16. Marion will attempt to upgrade on its 4-5 season record. The Orphans come into the bout with a 5-1 record after their 69-61 league win over Cahokia (Cahokia, IL).
