Georgia High School Basketball - Newton overwhelms Alcovy
December 10, 2022: Covington, GA 30014 Fans at Saturday's non-league challenge between the Newton Rams (Covington, GA) and the host Alcovy Tigers (Covington, GA), saw Newton's basketball squad wallop Alcovy by a tally of 84-19.
With the victory, Newton improves its record to 1-0 on the campaign. The Rams travel to Salem (Conyers, GA) to confront the Seminoles in a challenge on Wednesday, December 14. The Seminoles come into the challenge with a record of 3-0. Salem won 59-50 in their recent league challenge against Wilson Academy (Lithonia, GA)
Next up, the Tigers confront the Rockdale County Bulldogs (Conyers, GA) in a non-league challenge, on Wednesday, December 14. Alcovy will attempt to improve on its 0-5 season record. The Bulldogs come into the challenge with a 1-0 record after their 54-28 non-league win over Alcovy (Covington, GA).
