The Nueces Canyon Panthers basketball team (Barksdale, TX), was nudged 47-43 in Saturday's non-league battle with the host Miles Bulldogs (Miles, TX)

The Bulldogs now sport a 10-3 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Eula for a non-league battle on Tuesday, December 13. Miles will battle a Pirates team coming off a 42-28 non-league win over Bangs (Bangs, TX). The Pirates record now stands at 7-6.

The Panthers (8-6) will now prepare for their battle against Knippa (Knippa, TX). The Crushers come into the 1A Region IV District 31 battle with a 2-5 record. In their last battle, Knippa was nudged by Sabinal (Sabinal, TX), 41-30, in a non-league battle.
